Chuck Jones (NDT)

Chuck Jones, originally from Provo, UT, graduated from The Juilliard School with a BFA in Dance in May 2011. From 2011-2014 he danced for NDT 2 under the direction of Gerald Tibbs. He afterwards danced for a year with Tanz Luzerner Theater under the direction of Kathleen McNurney, and then in August 2015, he returned to the Netherlands to join NDT 1 under the direction of Paul Lightfoot.

During Chuck’s time on NDT, he has had the pleasure to tour all around the world as well as work with premiere choreographers such as, Jiri Kylian, Sol Leon and Paul Lightfoot, Alexander Ekman, Johan Inger, Marco Goeke, and Crystal Pite.

Aside from performing, Chuck is a professional teacher and choreographer.


Eric Handman (U of U)

Eric Handman is an associate professor in the Modern Dance program at the University of Utah’s School of Dance. After earning a BA in English from Skidmore College and his MFA from the University of Utah, he performed as a member of New York Theatre Ballet and then a dancer in various New York-based contemporary dance companies such as Doug Varone & Dancers, Nicholas Leichter Dance, and Joy Kellman & Company. Throughout his performance carreer, he has worked with many esteemed dance artists such as: David Dorfman, Lisa Race, Stephen Koester, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, Koosilja-Hwang, Eun Me Ahn, Pooh Kaye, and many others.

Handman has taught, performed and shown his choreography both internationally and globally. He has served on the board of directors of the Congress on Research in Dance and the American College Dance Association.


Jen Pendleton (Action Dance for Film)

Jen Pendleton began her professional career as a company member of Odyssey Dance Theatre, based in Salt Lake City, Ut. She danced with Odyssey for 8 years, performing work by Mia Michaels, Dee Caspary, Mandy Moore, Roni Koresch, Jason Parsons, Liz Imperio, Bonnie Story, Alex Magno, and Tony Powell to name a few. With Odyssey, she performed throughout the US, and was a part of 6 European tours, and had opportunities to create her own choreography in some of their shows. She was also a part of a small group Jason Parsons took to Seoul, Korea to perform in the Korean arts festival. She is a principle dancer in Justin Giles’ company, Soul Escape, has had opportunities to do choreography for the company and has assisted Justin Giles in his work on Fox’s t.v. show, ” So You Think You Can Dance”. Her commercial work includes Legally Blonde II, High School Musical 3, ABC’s “Mistle Tones” Christmas movie, Ovation’s “A Chance To Dance” t.v series. At home in Salt Lake City, Ut. She has fallen in love with teaching and creating choreography. She has taught at Universities, local dance studios, is a choreographer at Millennium Dance Complex in Salt Lake City, and travels the US to choreograph and teach as well. She is also a certified STOTT pilates teacher.


Becca Fullmer (SALT II Director)

Becca Fullmer studied at the Ballet Society in Idaho under the direction of former Ballet West dancers, John and Janice Nelson.

She later received a B.F.A. in Dance from the University of Arizona.

She then moved to San Francisco and performed professionally with Push Productions.

She also attended San Francisco Conservatory of Dance where she had the opportunity to learn William Forsythe Improvisation Technologies with Thomas McManus and Ohad Naharin’s “gaga” movement language with Bobby Smith.

Becca has received many scholarships and awards including New York City Dance Alliance’s national outstanding dancer. Becca is the acting director of Salt II.

Sharee Lane (U of U)

Sharee Lane was a soloist dancer and staff member with Ballet West, and the School Director of the Ballet West Conservatory. Currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Dance at the University of Utah, she teaches ballet technique, advanced principles of teaching, and co-directs, as well as choreographs for the Department’s Performing Dance Company. Her choreographies have been performed for the Berlin State Ballet School in Berlin, Germany, with her latest choreography Affinity, being restaged for the University of Cincinnati’s Conservatory of Music in fall 2012. Professor Lane has been a recipient of three Thomas D. Dee Grants, and in 2006, received the prestigious Philip and Miriam Perlman Award for Excellence in Student Counseling and Advising. Nominated for he College of Fine Arts Scholars Program, Professor Lane has presented her research “Through the Looking Glass: Examining the Impact of Mirrors in Technical and Artistic Development in Female College Ballet Dancers” for the Corps de Ballet International Conference at Western Michigan University and the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities. Professor Lane, and colleague Professor Olaf Hoefer, has successfully initiated a cultural exchange program between the University’s Department of Modern Dance, the Berlin State Ballet School and Ballet West, for students, teachers, and musicians. As well as being a frequent guest teacher for the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet and Ballet West, Professor Lane continues to be an adjudicator for the Montana Dance Arts Association and for Music-Fest in Spokane, Washington.
