SALT Contemporary Dance, Inc. (“SALT,” “we” or “us”), a Utah nonprofit performing arts organization, respects the privacy of visitors to our website. This privacy policy explains what information we collect from visitors at saltdance.com and associated sub‑pages (“Site”), how we use it, the partners we work with, and the choices you can make. When you submit personal information (for example by signing up for a newsletter or making a donation) you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree with the policy, please do not use our Site.
Information we collect
Information you provide voluntarily
We collect information you send us when you interact with our Site or our organization, including:
-
Contact details. If you request information, ask to be added to our mailing list, register for workshops or classes, volunteer, or otherwise contact us, you may provide your name, email address, postal address, phone number or other contact information. Our contact form invites you to sign up for our newsletter by providing your first name, last name, email address and ZIP code . Donor and payment information. If you make a donation or purchase merchandise, you may provide your name, billing address, email address, donation amount and payment details. Payment details are processed by third‑party payment processors such as Mightycause, PayPal and Braintree. SALT does not receive or store your full payment card number, but we receive donation information (amount, date, donor name and contact information) from those processors. The donation form on our Site is embedded from Mightycause’s platform, which collects donor details and processes payments on our behalf.
-
Employment or program applications. If you apply for employment, internships, auditions or training programs, you may provide a résumé, educational and work history, references and any other information you choose to submit.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our Site we, and some of our partners, collect certain information automatically to operate, secure and improve the website:
-
Usage data and device information. Our servers may log your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed and the dates and times of visits. We use this information to administer the Site, analyze usage and detect fraud or abuse.
-
Cookies and similar technologies. SALT and our service providers use cookies, web beacons and scripts to recognize your browser or device, remember your preferences and deliver analytics and marketing. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, but some features of the Site may not function properly.
Information from third‑party sources
We may receive information about you from third parties, including:
-
Email marketing provider. Our newsletter sign‑up uses Constant Contact. Constant Contact receives the name, email address and subscription preferences you provide and uses cookies to deliver email campaigns and measure engagement . Their own privacy statement governs how they handle your data.
-
Donation platform. Our donation form is powered by Mightycause. Mightycause collects donor details and payment information and provides us with reports about donations. Mightycause may use cookies, web beacons and analytics tools on the embedded donation form. Their privacy policy explains how they collect and use donor information.
-
Payment processors. Merchandise purchases and donations may be processed through PayPal and its subsidiary Braintree. PayPal and Braintree collect payment details and may use cookies and device‑fingerprinting scripts (e.g., b.stats.paypal.com, c6.paypal.com and client-analytics.braintreegateway.com) to detect fraud, process payments and comply with legal requirements.
-
Analytics and advertising providers. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use our Site. We also embed YouTube videos; YouTube (a Google company) may set cookies and collect data when you view or interact with videos on our Site.
-
Testing and personalization tools. We use Visual Website Optimizer (VWO) for A/B testing and website personalization. VWO uses cookies (dev.visualwebsiteoptimizer.com) to assign visitors to test variations and measure the effectiveness of changes.
