SALT Contemporary Dance wants to support their community in any way possible. SALT will continue to inspire and connect the rising generation with resources to support them through these difficult times. It is important to ask for help and guide others to accessible resources in your community.
Below is a list of local and national financial resources for artists and organizations. If you know of others, please connect with us and we will add them to the list.
Local Utah Resources
Salt Lake Valley Covid Mutual Aid: People can request support for delivery of medication, groceries and medical or sanitation supplies with financial support if needed. Individuals can also sign up to volunteer or donate to the cause.
This website also provides a document with a list of resources for residents in Utah. The list includes but not limited to: government response pages, healthcare facilities in Utah, testing and drive-thru testing centers, grocery stores with early access for at risk/elderly/immunocompromised and those with disabilities, student lunches in the community, companies offering assistance in Utah, health care and mental health resources LGBT/queer resources.
United Way of Salt Lake: Call, text, or chat 211 for resources and services like food pantries, rent payment assistance, utility assistance, counseling services, medical assistance and more.
Utah Division of Arts and Museums: This article provides emergency fund resources for individual artists and cultural organizations, discipline-specific online conversations on various topics, and weekly community calls to discuss the impacts of Covid-19 on the cultural sector, available relief, and inspirational stories.
Artists Resources
Covid-19 and Freelance Artists: This website has generated a list of free resources, opportunities, and financial relief options available to artists of all disciplines. This list includes resources for emergency funding, best practices for online teaching, learning and gathering, online platforms, health and mental health resources, and temporary/remote job opportunities.
Americans for the Arts: This is a great source for freelance artists and organizations to stay updated on information pertaining to the arts at this time. There is a survey to fill out on the economic impact the Coronavirus is causing and a list of funding/grant resources for artists.
Dance USA: This website provides a list of CDC and performing arts resources, webinars and steps you can take to make your voice heard during these difficult times.

Cromcast/Xfinity: Cromcast is offering 2 months of free internet to qualifying low-income customers through the Internet Essential Program beginning March 16th.
